Night Time Industries Association campaign for a Manchester Night Czar

The NTIA is playing a pivotal role in Manchester which could see whoever wins the Manchester Mayoralty on the 4th May bring in a Night Czar and Night Time Commission. This would obviously be fantastic news for Manchester and for the industry. Sacha Lord-Marchionne, an NTIA Board member has been leading the campaign and focusing on the issues which matter to us – safe late night transport, protecting venues from nearby housing development, coordination across the region, sharing best practice amongst the borough and bringing together the decision makers.

Sacha’s interview for the Manchester Evening news is here http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/music-nightlife-news/greater-manchester-night-czar-calls-12839693

One of the reasons we have the eyes and ears of the politicians however is because they are receiving emails from our supporters asking them to get behind our agenda. This is simply done through our petition for a Manchester Night Czar on the www.savenightlife.org website. There is a drop down on the petitions page which populates the email about the campaign, our goals and then automatically sends an email to the local Councillors and the Mayoral candidates where you live.

If you live in Manchester can you sign and share the petition with friends and colleagues, as well as making some noise about our agenda. This will be a huge step for the Night Time and is the start of our national campaign to bring Night Czars for every major city, as well as bringing the industry together with decision makers and shaping the future of the Night in Britain.

If you could email your supporters list asking them to sign the petition that would be fantastic and share on social media your support for the campaign, retweeting @weareNTIA and @sacha_whp, posting on your facebook page to help spread the word, raise awareness and show the local politicians that we are a movement.
