An advisory on Standard Conditions for Fast Track Pavement Licences under the Business & Planning Bill

By July 21, 2020NEWS

With the Business & Planning Bill likely to get Royal assent today here are some thoughts on how standard conditions will apply to the new fast track pavement licences.

“The hotly anticipated Business & Planning Bill is likely to get Royal assent imminently.  The Bill contains important provisions about applying for fast track pavement licences.  The fee cannot exceed £100 and requires details of the furniture to which the application relates, together with other information that the Local Authority may require.  There is a public consultation period of 7 days beginning with the day after the day on which the application was made.  The Local Authority may grant the application subject to certain criteria and notably subject to standard conditions.

Nexstart have put together a fast track pavement licence advisory note to look at some of the key issues that arise when considering the potential pitfalls of standard conditions on these temporary and new style permissions.  See here.
